To Copy a Component from a Referenced Drawing

Open an OpenPlant Modeler model.

Add a reference drawing that has OpenPlant Modeler components (Piping, Equipment, HVAC and/or Cable Tray).

(Optional) To copy a component keeping the tag intact define configuration variable OPM_DO_NOT_CHANGE_NUMBER_PROPERTY_ONCOPY.

Tip: Set this variable beforehand in cfg file.

Tag remains intact when you copy a component from reference drawing.

Select the component(s) to copy.

Right click and select Copy from the menu.

Select a "first point" on the component, or group of components to use as a base point for placement.

Use the mouse to drag the component(s) to the desired location.

Right-click to end the command.
